Vanadium Dioxyfluoride, VO2F

Vanadium Dioxyfluoride, VO2F, has not been isolated in the free state. It combines readily with other fluorides to form a series of yellow, easily crystallisable double salts, which can be heated to 100° C. or even above without undergoing change. The following have been prepared:

VO2F.2NH4F
VO2F.2NH4F.H2O
VO2F.3NH4F
4VO2F.7NH4F.5H2O
VO2F.2KF
2VO2F.3KF
2VO2F.3TlF
VO2F. ZnF2.7H2O
VO2F.BaF2
VO2F.CaF2
